Once I was wearing some sunglasses while I was walking my dog and my dog chased a pigeon which (understandably) got scared and took off and just so happened to fly directly into the face of a biker who was passing in the street at top speed.
Calm down, calm down. No one was hurt and everyone involved thought it was funny (pigeon included, I think), but then it got me thinking...what are the odds that my dog would chase a pigeon right when a biker was passing and that the pigeon would take off in a trajectory that just happened to perfectly meet the trajectory of the fast-moving biker and end up beaning him in side of his face? Pretty low, I'm guessing. So when you really think about it, my dog scaring that pigeon that hit the biker is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime event.
And it all happened because I was wearing sunglasses.
Ok, well, not because I was wearing sunglasses, but while I was wearing them at least.
