Stuhrling Original Winchester 44 Watches

I purchased this watch on May 21, 2011. I have always longed for a skeleton and the Stuhrling was my first pick. I became aware of the Stuhrling brand after purchasing one for my mother, but had to return it due to its complexity. However, this watch is very good looking and the metals are a lot shinier that the picture suggest. I've even had comments from women stating they like my watch very much. The leather is also still intact, but shows only slight wear even though it has been worn everyday for almost three months. Anyway, that's only one of the reason why someone buys a watch. The first reason usually is for it to be accurate at telling time. I set the time on this watch using the info from a standard clock and over a one week period this watch gained as much as 4 minutes over the standard time. I thought it was just an anomaly and set the time again and it just repeated the pattern. Usually, watches would gain or lose about 20 sec/month, but 4 minutes in one week is just plain ridiculous. For $100 I truly expected better. This watch also have a 34 hr reserve which seems to be on point. You only need to wear the watch a few hours a day to keep it going. The watch is very good looking and if that reason is justifiable enough for you, then by all means. However, if you're looking for something that is going to be accurate at telling the time, I'm almost certain that there are better alternatives.
