Some people are very loose with their definition of "art." So let us clear this up for you right now: these shoes are made of canvas, and they've got pretty designs and colors on them, but that doesn't make them art. So just to recap, these are shoes, not art.

Still not getting it? OK, let's give you some examples. The Mona Lisa: Art. Anything by Monet or Van Gogh: Art. That cardboard chair that took you an entire semester to make in high school: Not art. A guy sitting inside a glass box without eating or sleeping for a week: Stupid. Not art. These shoes: Not art. Got it? Great.
